Students from Colégio Saint Daniel Brottier create a blog to write literary reviews.
Colégio Saint Daniel Brottier, located in Lisbon, is known for its innovative and meaningful methodology for students.
In the classroom, questions and themes arise that are explored and initiated by the students, and then adjusted by teachers to the syllabus defined for the school year and subject.
In this context, the 5th-grade class—launching the 2nd cycle (middle school) in the 2017/2018 academic year at the College and extending this way of working to a new educational cycle—decided to create a literary criticism blog. This site arose from the need to learn a type of opinion text (in this case, the review) and the students’ desire to share the texts they created.
In a creative and contextualized way, students learn the content based on an internal need.
The 5th-grade critics invite you to visit their blog and read their reflective opinions on the texts they will be reading and working on throughout the year. Follow us at http://5csdb.blogspot.pt/
